Nigeria - New Zealand Trade Mission and Business Delegation to Auckland......

The Nigeria New-Zealand Trade Mission is designed to take delegates to prospective overseas’ building equipment and technology markets for a week of site visits, meetings, networking events and briefings with leading building equipment and technological companies, local suppliers, associations and government bodies......

Building operation is one of the first businesses that humankind developed, and it continues to shape our daily life in unique ways. Virtually all other businesses rely on the building / construction industry to provide and maintain their accommodation, plants and infrastructure, and construction is a determinant of where and how almost everyone lives, works and plays. For nearly the entire population of the world, the built environment heavily influences quality of life.

As demand in emerging countries rises, the industry must identify how emerging and developing markets can benefit best from the technological advances and increased safety standards already being applied in developed countries, while still taking into account local market conditions. The expected increase in global competition will produce winners and losers as strengths and strategies differ between companies and countries.

Many building construction firms capitalize on their cost advantages and put great effort into securing construction contracts abroad. Most Western markets, such as the United Kingdom’s, are characterized by a high degree of fragmentation, which impacts unfavourably on their level of innovation and their ability to access foreign markets. Eventually, the firms with strong processes in place and the ability to adapt their business models to new markets will prove to be the winners. Many of the others will disappear.

The trade mission is designed to give participants a deep understanding of the local building equipment market, procurement practices and project opportunities, and aim to assist participants in positioning their businesses as potential suppliers to Building operations around the globe.

Globe chamber of commerce in collaboration the New Zealand government,  some Industries and local associations will be organizing the trade mission to ensure the right meetings take place and that participating organizations are introduced to a range of decision makers who are interested in matchmaking; ranging from senior level executives to technical personnel on site.
