Hon. Buchi George of Trade Nigeria Donates N37m to Rural Traders.....

Trade Nigeria has revealed that their perfect ending for the year will be the donation of 37 Million Naira to women trading in rural markets.....

The project which is tagged ‘Her Trade Supports Programme’ is aimed at supporting women in the rural areas whose total wares amount to almost nothing, according the CEO of Trade Nigeria, Hon. Nwabueze Buchi George.

Hon. Buchi George who spoke to newsmen in Abuja, Nigeria, recounted what life used to be for him in rural area where some petty traders who trained their children through primary to secondary school cannot brag about wares worth up to N5,000.

“The aim is to reach these women whose wares are not even worth N5,000, yet their families survive from the little they make. Their impacts in the economy might be overlooked, but if they are provided with extra capital, I believe they will be able to do more than what they are doing at the moment”

“We have mapped out One Million Naira each for every state in Nigeria, including FCT Abuja. Our staff and some volunteers will take the trip to some rural markets, where they will get us data of the people we need for the programme”

“This is something I am very passionate about because I had a firsthand experience of it as a child and while building international trade around the world, there is also need that we support these women, because their success is the beginning of development in our rural communities” he said.

Hon. Nwabueze Buchi George also revealed that the process of data collection for the programme will not be publicized as the staff and volunteers will visit the market in the guise of buyers to prevent impostors from making the list.

Her Trade Supports Programme will be unveiled in December 2019, according to the Trade Nigeria boss, whose organization is warming for Nigeria – Korea Economic Forum scheduled for December 5 to 12, 2019 in Republic of South Korea.

He further stated that after the first edition which will be kicking off in South East, the project will likely continue and they will maintain the same level of fairness in all the states.
