Ghana, Spain Sign GH₵30m Agreement To Support Entrepreneurship

The GH₵30million agreement will see young and budding entrepreneurs engage in exchange programs in Spain from March 2019.
 


Sector Minister, Mohammed Awal stated the agreement will see over 2000 young entrepreneurs benefit from the program.

 

“It’s a long-term program to build young people who confident and competent of moving Ghana beyond aid. We will train trainer of trainers who will subsequently train others across the regions, he stated.

 

On her part, the Spanish Ambassador to Ghana, Alicia Rico expressed confidence in the impact this agreement will have on job creation and entrepreneurship.

 

Alicia Rico stated that the Spanish government stands prepared to be one of Ghana’s leading economic partners.

 

“It is to offer training for entrepreneurs to set up business and search for adequate financing for the creation of jobs and wealth. With this cooperation, we want to contribute to the Ghana Beyond Aid agenda. Ghana has a very entrepreneurial spirit and this will benefit the country,” she said.

 

The Institute for the Creation and Development of Enterprise (INCYDE) Foundation is an institution of the Chambers of Commerce with headquarters in Madrid, Spain.

 

INCYDE Foundation specializes in the development and promotion of the entrepreneurial mindset, bringing about improvements to the qualifications of entrepreneur, creating and consolidating companies. They also have the necessary methodology, technical equipment and material to enable them to develop Training Programs in the field of entrepreneurship.

 

The parties seek to boost and encourage the participation of young people, workers and unemployed individuals in programs that contribute to their training and professional development. This is done in such a way that will enable them to adapt to new demands of the job market and lead to the achievement of enhanced livelihoods and sustainable development.
